Baby Bootie in Two Colors, bill thomas and renee blixt
Practical, pretty or both, this pattern provides the crocheter with a bootie blueprint. No knitting is required, and it makes a perfect gift.

Although knitters have many baby booties patterns to choose from, crocheters are known to sometimes struggle with them. Crocheters now have their very own bootie pattern.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Materials

  • Yarn: Worsted Weight Size in any color desired. Approximately one skein of one color will complete a pair. Choose soft yarn for baby’s comfort or firm yarn if using as a decoration. For the purposes of this pattern, the letters A and B indicate the yarn changes that would be made if making a two-color bootie. Adjust as necessary according to desired color scheme.
  • Crochet Hook: Size H/8 (5mm) crochet hook
  • Optional: 4 buttons—7/16”/11mm
  • 4 small snaps
  • Sewing needles and matching thread
  • Yarn needle

Special Abbreviations Used In This Pattern

  • Sc2tog (single crochet 2 sts together): [Insert hook in next st, yarn over and draw up a loop] twice, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook.
  • Hdc2tog (half double crochet 2 stitches together): [Yarn over insert hook in next st, yarn over and draw up a loop] twice, yarn over and draw through all 5 loops on hook.

  • Sizes: 3 (6, 9) months
Finished Measurements

  • Length: 3 ½ (4, 4 ½)”/9 (10, 11.5) cm
