Free and Easy Crocheted Halloween Spider Pattern

Cute Holiday Beginner Level Project that Works up Quickly

Oct 8, 2008 Renee Blixt

Halloween is such a fun holiday for crocheters. Who doesn't love little "fridgies" and other decorations? A crocheted spider is cute, fun, and can be placed anywhere.

These instructions make a black spider of about 4 inches in diameter (including legs) with black yarn scrap and about a half-hour. Change the gauge if a smaller or larger spider is desired.

This particular spider looks great on a Native American Dream Catcher web. It’s also cute when dangled from the ceiling with black thread.

Skill Level: Beginner

Materials

  • Size 10 crochet cotton in black
  • Size 6/ 1.8mm steel crochet hook
  • 5mm wiggle eyes (optional)
  • Permanent adhesive

Pattern Notes

Weave in loose end as work progresses. Join round with a slip stitch unless otherwise stated.
